About Me

My name is Lori.  I am a retired English teacher with a passion for learning and for Portugal. I have been studying the language, growing my savings, and researching this beautiful land for several years. The anticipation is real and my journey is finally about to begin. I am thrilled by the prospect of meeting new people and embracing Portuguese culture. One can never know what's around the next bend in life, but it is my hope that my dreams will align with life on the ground and that through my adventures in Portugal, I will find a new home.  The purpose of this blog is to document my journey as I travel the country:  the places, faces, food, festas and fun.  Bem-vindos a todos!
